Want a Margherita Pizza?

By Posted on 0 3.1K

No this isn’t a food blog, but you never know what will move you to write. Margherita Pizza may show up in one of my future plots. You never know. Together with an ice cold bottle of beer, Margherita pizza has to be one of the best tasting pizzas I’ve eaten and I’m a card-carrying, sausage lover. Since then it has become a frozen pizza staple in my freezer. it’s Marinara sauce, flavored with garlic and oregano, the mozzarella, fresh basil, and tomatoes are to die for. Because it lacks animal fat, it’s easier to appreciate the other flavors.

All Hats Off to Mom on Mother’s Day!

By Posted on 2 3.5K

I remember Mother’s Day from wa-a-ay back in the day when all of the women in the church would dress up and then set it off in hats, fur stoles, and high heels. Their looks were mesmerizing and as eye-catching as any Hollywood movie star’s. Easter was for the children, but Mother’s Day was a woman’s day to shine. Then, you will become resentful and bitter, left feeling the need to remind everyone of what you have done, or how much you have given up.

What I Know for Sure . . . So Far

By Posted on 0 1.1K

At this tender age of 31, I have finally come to a place of love and acceptance of myself. I have learned that I am going to be stuck with me for a long doggone time so I no longer need anyone but myself to validate me. I’m a single mother now and that raises a lot of questions in my head. Am I a good example to my daughter? Did I try hard enough with her father? Do I give her what she needs? Depending on the time I ask these questions, I may give myself a different answer. All I know is that at any given moment, I am giving my child, myself, and the world the best that I have to give.

Boomacious Fashions!

Who wants to be the designer to the Boomers? I was able to cull out a few trends that will work for the Boomacious as we strive to remain relevant in a society that still doesn’t get it. Boomers have more disposable income than any generation and maybe we’d spend some of it if we could find a pair of comfortable shoes!
