After Haiti suffered a devastating earthquake in January 2010, musical genius, Kirk Franklin, gathered an ensemble of gospel superstars to perform his original composition, “Are You Listening”. Yolanda Adams, Jeremy Camp, Shirley Caesar, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Natalie Grant, Fred Hammond, Tamela Mann, David Mann, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Bishop Paul S. Morton, J. Moss, Smokie Norful, Marvin Sapp, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kierra Sheard, BeBe Winans, Cece Winans, and Marvin Winans all came on board to contribute to this gospel effort. (Wikipedia).
This song should have received crazy attention and praise because it’s possibly the most powerful gospel song we’ve heard in years. It didn’t get the publicity or the attention that the second “We Are the World” (2010) received, but it’s just as packed with gospel heavyweights.
Haiti and its people are still suffering and Habitat for Humanity is one of the organizations soliciting donations. I’m not endorsing any organization and suggest that you do research on any place you send your money.
