Powerful video from the soundtrack of the 1995 movie Panther features many popular singers of today when they were younger. I’m dedicating this video to the many teachers of history, sociology, and those teachers who just closed the door for a few minutes to talk about life.
Tune in to TMC tonight at 10pm to view the powerful drama about the Black Panther movement in the 1960s and the FBI’s unorthodox attempts to bring it down. Courtney B Vance and Kadeem Hardison star as its founding members, with Bokeem Woodbine and the always watchable Joe Don Baker. Director Mario Van Peebles gets some sterling performances from the talented cast that also includes Angela Bassett as Betty Shabazz, Chris Rock, Jenifer Lewis, and Bobby Brown.
